Rodman Named All-Golden Coast Conference Second Team

AZUSA, Calif. — Santa Clara University women's water polo's Kate Rodman was named all-Golden Coast Conference second team honors Tuesday, as the conference announced its annual awards.

Rodman was one of 23 players to earn all-GCC accolades Tuesday. Kate Rodman was one of the Broncos' top goal scorers during the regular season, tying for the team lead with 42 goals. She tallied 15 assists for a total of 57 points on the year – second-most on the team. The sophomore driver also had 26 steals and 15 drawn exclusions.

Rodman had eight games this season in which she scored at least three goals. She scored a season-high four goals twice – against Cal State Fullerton on March 3 and against Westcliff on March 4, both Broncos victories.

For the second straight season, Fresno State finished league competition unbeaten in the GCC, winning their third straight regular season title. And for the second straight year, the Bulldogs swept the individual honors. Sophomore Booke Ochoa was named the 2023 Player of the Year and teammate freshman Hailey Andress was named Newcomer of the Year. All individual awards and All-GCC teams were voted on by the Conference's eight coaches.

Rodman and the Broncos travel to San Diego for the GCC Championship starting Friday, where they'll face No. 2 seed and No. 17 nationally ranked LMU at noon in the first round. Fans can find all live coverage links on SantaClaraBroncos.com.
