Head coach Dick Davey, on game: "We did not shoot the ball very well tonight. Missouri State made it difficult for us and played excellent defense. We rebounded pretty well, but we could not stay with them in other areas tonight. They do a lot of things well and they execute well so you have to give them credit."
Davey, on first half run: "I was encouraged with how we hung in there in the first half. We had a good stretch where we played very smart basketball and put forth a good effort. We could not sustain it in the second half though and Missouri State had a lot to do with that. They would not let us back in."
Brody Angley, on game: "It is tough coming into this type of environment and we showed some determination getting back into it at the end of the half. We wanted to stay with them early in the second half, but they just pulled away."
Angley, on team's schedule of five games in eight days: "We knew coming in that this would be a difficult stretch, but we have to be ready for it. With a schedule like ours you can't have an off night. I don't think that we were tired tonight. We just needed to play better."
