Men's Soccer Closes Out Northwest Road Trip Sunday at Gonzaga

The Santa Clara men's soccer team closes out its Northwest road trip at 1 p.m. Sunday with a West Coast Conference contest at Gonzaga's Luger Field.

The Broncos (7-7-1, 2-1-1 WCC) are coming off a thrilling 3-2 overtime victory Friday at Portland. Parker Holland netted the winner just 22 seconds into the extra session of the WCC game.

Leading scorer Carlos Delgadillo (5 goals/11 points) returned from injury vs. the Pilots and posted a goal in the first half.

Santa Clara has knocked off Gonzaga (6-8-1, 1-3-0) in seven of the last eight meetings. The Zags are 3-3-1 at home, with a win over current-No. 19 Seattle back on Aug. 30. GU has been impressive defensively as of late, posting four shutouts this season and limiting opponents to one goal or less in 13 of its last 17 games dating back to last season. The Zags were upended 3-1 at home Friday by San Francisco.

The game will be streamed by TheW.tv.
