Two Men's Soccer Players Earn All-Far West Region Honors

SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Santa Clara men's soccer had two players named to the NSCAA All-Far West region teams. Carlos Delgadillo was named First Team and Kendall McIntosh was named Third Team.

"Both Kendall and Carlos had a tremendous year for us," said Santa Clara head coach Cameron Rast. "Whether it was Carlos scoring goals at one end or Kendall making the saves at the other, they both made a huge impact in our NCAA tournament run and WCC Championship. It is only fitting to see them both recognized for their performances by the coaches in the region."

Delgadillo, a First Team All-WCC selection, led Santa Clara with 10 goals and 24 points. He also led the Broncos with five game-winning goals. In the final match of the regular season, Delgadillo scored two goals to lead the Broncos past San Diego 3-0 on the way to the WCC title.

McIntosh, the WCC co-Goalkeeper of the Year and second team selection, played every minute in net for the Broncos. He allowed 23 goals for a 1.13 GAA and made 72 saves for a .758 save percentage. McIntosh and the Bronco defense collected six shutouts on the season.
