Delgadillo Named WCC Men’s Soccer Player of the Week

SAN BRUNO, Calif. - Santa Clara's Carlos Delgadillo was named the West Coast Conference Men's Soccer Player of the Week Monday.

The sophomore forward led the Broncos (10-7-1, 5-1-1) to an NCAA-tourament clinching win Saturday. He netted a pair of goals and registered an assist in a 3-0 victory against first-place San Diego (10-5-3, 5-1-1). That win, coupled with LMU's 2-0 upset victory vs. San Francisco (6-11-1, 4-2-1), gave the Broncos a share of the WCC title and the league's automatic bid.

Delgadillo leads the team in goals (9) and points (21).

The Broncos face Cal-Fullerton Thursday in the opening round of the NCAA Tournament.
