Kapolei, Oahu -- The Santa Clara women's golf team traveled to Hawai'i this week to take on some of the top teams in the nation at the Kent Youel Invitational. After the first two rounds that were played late into Tuesday, the Broncos sit tied 15th place, but are still in a position to move up the board with a solid performance today.

Leading the way again for the Broncos is freshman Miki Ueoka (+8), who shot rounds of 78 and 74 for a spot tied for 19th on the leaderboard. Ueoka took home a top ten three weeks ago in her first collegiate event.

Next for Santa Clara is Erin Sullivan (+12) playing in her first tournament of the year. Sullivan shot dual 78's to remain tied for 40th going into the third and final round.

Senior Corey Utsurogi is tied for 69th after two rounds with a score of +18 after rounds of 79 and 83. Following her are newcomers Katherine Suarez (+22), who shot rounds of 82 and 84 to end up tied for 87th, and Katie Sharpe (+24) who is tied for 91st after rounds of 88 and 80.

With only one player in red numbers after two rounds, scoring has been difficult thus far. The Broncos will try to turn it around in the third round this morning.
