Scott Travers Shoots 6-Under, Finishes Third at BancorpSouth Intercollegiate

MADISON, Miss. - Santa Clara junior Scott Travers - among the NCAA leaders in scoring average (69.4) in the fall - shot rounds of 69, 73 and 68 at the BancorpSouth Intercollegiate, held at Reunion Golf and Country Club and hosted by Ole Miss. Travers finished third in the 75-man field.

As a team Santa Clara posted a pair of quality scores at 290, but a second round 303 pushed the team into the bottom tier of the 15-team field. The Broncos were in 6th place after the first round but slipped to 12th after round two Monday. Closing rounds by Travers (68), Rick Lamb (72) and Ronnald Monaco (73) helped SCU move up to 11th in the final team standings.
