SEATTLE - Santa Clara men's golf alumnus Jonathan Keane '09 was crowned the 2009 Seattle Amateur Champion on July 3 after setting a tournament record score of 11-under par.
The Edmonds, Wash. native, who graduated from Santa Clara with a degree in finance in June, ran away with an eight shot win after rounds of 69-66-67. Keane played flawlessly as he posted the day's low score at each of the three golf courses - Jackson Park (July 1), Jefferson Park (July 2) and West Seattle GC (July 3). In his final round, he posted eight birdies.
