Women's Basketball Signs Three National Letters of Intent

SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Santa Clara women's basketball head coach JR Payne and her staff have signed three National Letters of Intent for the 2016-17 season. The Broncos will welcome Ashlyn Herlihy of Arroyo Grande, Calif., Naomi Jimenez of Albrightsville, Penn., and Tamia Braggs of Tacoma, Wash.

Herlihy, a 6-1 wing, attended Arroyo Grande High School where the 2014-15 team went 24-3 and was the Eastside Prep Tournament Champions where Herlihy was named MVP.

Jimenez, a 6-0 wing, attended Westtown School where she was a two-time all-league selection.

Braggs, a 6-2 forward, attended Lincoln High School Where she was a team captain all four years and reached 1,000 career points as a junior.

"We are thrilled to announce the signing of Naomi [Jimenez], Tamia [Braggs] and Ashlyn [Herlihy]," said Payne. "These three ladies will have a huge impact on our program moving forward and I believe that they will impact the SCU community as well. They are fabulous young ladies and we are unbelievably excited to add them to our Bronco family."
