SAN BRUNO, Calif. – Santa Clara women's basketball had three players honored for their work in the classroom by the West Coast Conference on Tuesday. Senior Lori Parkinson was named WCC All-Academic while senior Marie Bertholdt and sophomore Andraya Flor were honorable mention.
Parkinson is working on her degree in communications and has a 3.75 GPA. She is second on Santa Clara with 12.4 points per game and 7.6 rebounds per game. She leads the Broncos with 1.8 steals per game and has five double-doubles this season.
Bertholdt is a marketing major with a 3.37 GPA. She is third on the team in scoring (10.9 ppg) and rebounding (5.4 pg). Earlier this season she became just the 23rd player in Santa Clara history with 1,000 career points. Currently Bertholdt is No. 11 all-time with 1,131 points.
Flor has a 3.75 GPA and is majoring in business. She has appeared in 18 games and been a key player coming off the bench for the Broncos.
Santa Clara closes out the regular season this week. On Thursday, the Broncos play their final road game of the season at Pacific at 7 p.m. On Saturday, they host Saint Mary's at 2 p.m. for Senior Day.
