SAN BRUNO, Calif. – Santa Clara women's basketball had three players honored on the All-Conference teams, as announced by the league office on Tuesday.
Lori Parkinson was named First Team All-WCC for the second consecutive year. Marie Bertholdt was named Second Team All-WCC and Emily Wolph was honorable mention.
Parkinson leads Santa Clara and is fourth in the conference with 1.9 steals per game. She is second on the Broncos with 12.2 ppg and 7.6 rpg. On Dec. 20 vs. No. 21 South Florida Parkinson scored her 1,000th collegiate point. She scored 525 points as Southern Utah in two years before transferring to Santa Clara. She is currently at 724 points as a Bronco.
Bertholdt scores 11.3 ppg and adds 5.5 rpg. On Jan. 7 vs. LMU, Bertholdt became just the 23rd player in Santa Clara history with 1,000 career points. She is No. 11 with 1,162 points and needs 62 more points to move into the top-10 in Santa Clara history.
After missing last season with an injury, Wolph leads the team with 12.7 ppg and 3.7 assists per game. She leads the conference with 71 3-pointers made and is fourth with an 84.5 percent mark from the free throw line.
The Broncos open the WCC Tournament Thursday vs. Saint Mary's at 6 p.m. in Las Vegas at the Orleans Arena.
