Women's Basketball Adds Casey Volta as Director of Operations

SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Santa Clara women's basketball added Casey Volta as the director of operations, head coach Bill Carr announced Wednesday.

Volta graduated from Cal State Monterey Bay in December 2016 with a B.S. in Kinesiology with a concentration in health and wellness.

"I am so excited to start working with girls and the staff," Volta said. "This is a dream come true. I have grown up around Santa Clara athletics and to be able to have my dream job while working for such an amazing program is incredible."

"I am excited to have Casey join our program as our director of basketball operations," Carr said. "She brings high energy, a strong work ethic, and a passion for Santa Clara University to the position. She will be a great addition to our staff and we all look forward to working with her."

From 2012-16 Volta was the team manager for the CSU Monterey Bay men's basketball team. In that role, she worked closely with the coaches and helped with scouting reports while also organizing the travel of the team.

Her start in athletic management came in high school when she was the men's varsity manager at St. Francis from 2009-12. She also took part in the St. Francis High School Sports and Activity Camp as a teach and coach from 2009-15.

Volta's father Chris was a pitcher and played baseball at Santa Clara from 1987-90. Her sister Ashley Koepplin and cousin Lindsey Sanford also graduated from SCU.

Volta, the youngest of four sisters, was born and raised in Santa Clara, Calif.
