Spring Schedule
SAN JOSE, Calif. – Santa Clara women's soccer continued its unbeaten spring Sunday by beating Cal Poly 1-0 on the San Jose State field.
The only goal of the game came from transfer Maria Sanchez. It is her fourth goal in as many games since putting on a Bronco uniform.
"Credit to Cal Poly who was very tough defensively in the first half and their keeper made some big saves," Santa Clara head coach Jerry Smith said. "We were better in the second half today and eventually broke through. The difference in the match was the goal by Maria Sanchez. She now has goals against UCLA, UC Davis, Cal, and Cal Poly."
Santa Clara concludes its spring season Friday at 6 p.m. vs. San Jose State at Stevens Stadium.
