SANTA CLARA, Calif.- The Bronco women's water polo team will take their first travel trip of the season down to Southern California to participate in the UC San Diego Triton Invitational on Feb. 7 and Feb. 8. The Tritons will host 16 teams, for a total of 32 games in a two-day span.

The Broncos will start off the tournament on Saturday with No. 6 UC Irvine at 10:40 am.  Depending upon the outcome of that game, the Broncos will either play again at 4:00 pm or 5:20 pm. On Feb. 8 the team will play two more games based on their performance, rounding out the weekend.

The Broncos own a two-game winning streak after picking up their first two wins this past weekend over Monterey and Golden Coast Conference rival Fresno Pacific. Elizabeth Anderson earned Player of the Week honors after scoring five goals over the weekend.

The Triton Invitational consistently hosts top ranked teams every year, making it a weekend full of tough competition for the Broncos. Last season at the Triton Invitational, the Broncos picked up an exciting overtime win over conference rival San Diego State. However, the Broncos fell in their final three games of the tournament.

Each day games start at 8:00 am and the final game at 5:50 pm. Games will be played in both the Triton pool and the Canyonview pool. Tickets are available at the gate upon arrival to the pools and will be 10 dollars per day. The fist place game will be played in the Triton pool at 5:50 pm on Feb. 8.
