STOCKTON, Calif. – All five of Santa Clara University's counting scores were under par, accounting for the best team score Wednesday in final round play of the Pacific Invitational at the Brookside Country Club in Stockton.

Sophomore Rick Lamb shot a final-round 70 and finished among the tournament's top five. It was the third top-10 finish in Lamb's young college career. He eagled three holes in Monday's opening round and finished the three-day tournament playing the par fives at 8-under. Lamb was the WCC's 'Freshman of the Year' last season.

Teammates Cory Mehl, Scott Travers and Bobby Monaco were able to move up the leaderboard after combining to go 5-under in support of Lamb, who entered the day tied for third.

As a team Santa Clara out-played the entire field Wednesday but due to the team's slow start, SCU finished two shots out of fourth and settled for a tie for sixth in the 12-team field.
