EDMONTON, Alberta – Santa Clara University's Scott Lowe has qualified to play at the Canadian Tour's ATB Financial Classic in his hometown of Calgary, Alberta this week.

The ATB Financial Classic, which runs Thursday through Sunday at Bearspaw Country Club in Calgary, will be Lowe's first professional tournament. The 6,810-yard layout will test 156 players from 15 different countries - competing for a purse of $200,000. As an amateur, however, Lowe is ineligible to collect any prize money.

The Canadian Tour reserved a minimum of five (5) positions in the tournament for players who finished among the leaders at a qualifier held Monday at The Country Hills Golf Club (Talon Course). Austin Cruickshank, Calgary; Jordan Irwin, Calgary; Sam Sharma, Calgary and Mackenzie Hughes, Dundas, Ontario; earned the four other spots in the field.
