Draws/Results: Saint Mary's Invitational
The Santa Clara women's tennis team will be in action for the second-straight weekend when it heads to Moraga, California, to play in the Saint Mary's Invitational.
The three-day tournament begins Friday with individuals from Cal, Cal Poly, Eastern Michigan, Fresno State, Gonzaga, Pacific, Portland, Sacramento State, San Francisco, San Jose State, Stanford, UC Davis and the host Gaels set to compete in three draws of both singles and doubles.
Chelby Cooke, Madison Clarke and Daniella Silva will play in the A singles bracket, while Janet Liu and Nabila Farah have been placed in the B singles. Farah received the No. 5 seed her bracket.
Farah and Silva will team up in the A doubles bracket, while Cooke and Liu, seeded second, have been placed in the B draw. in addition, Clarke will team up Kamila Kecki of UC Davis in the C doubles bracket.
First-round action in singles is scheduled for Friday. Round of 16 and quarterfinal matches will take place Saturday, and semifinals and championship matches are set for Sunday. The first two rounds of doubles are scheduled for Friday, semifinals on Saturday and finals Sunday.
