STOCKTON, Calif.Daniella Silva's three set singles victory clinched a come-from-behind 4-2 win for the Santa Clara women's tennis team against Pacific in a Friday afternoon West Coast Conference match.

The Broncos (7-5, 1-1) fell behind 2-0 against the Tigers (6-7, 1-2), but reeled off four straight singles wins, capped by Silva's 3-6, 6-2, 6-1 victory against Pacific's Maayan Sela on the No. 2 court. Silva won her team-high ninth dual singles match of the year, including second straight after being moved up from the No. 3 position.

"We were down a lot in this match, first in doubles and then in singles, but the team did a nice job coming back," head coach Ben Cabell said. "A lot of credit to the whole team, especially Dani Silva who fought back after losing the first set."

Straight set singles wins by Nabila Farah and Delphine Rouvillois evened the match at 2-all in Pacific's newly christened Eve Zimmerman Tennis Center.

Farah downed Sabrina Rodriguez 6-2, 7-5 on the No. 5 court before Rouvillois, 4-0 in singles since her return from injury, knocked off Katie Dyson 6-4, 6-2 at the No. 4 position.

Zeina El Tawil gave the Broncos a 3-2 lead with another straight sets win, a 6-4, 6-2 triumph over Yuki Asami.

El Tawil and Rouvillois combined for Santa Clara's lone win in doubles, a 6-2 victory against Sela and Rodriguez at the No. 3 position.

"We thought we had a good chance at the doubles point," Cabell said. "That was tough, but we knew it was going to be close. They've shown they are a better team this year and have already won a conference match. They had a lot of energy since it was the first conference match at the new facility."

The Broncos continue their East Bay road trip Saturday, playing at Saint Mary's (5-7, 2-0). The match is set to begin at 11 a.m. in the Tim Korth Tennis Complex.

The Gaels downed San Francisco, 4-0, Friday and possess a deceiving record as all of their losses have come to teams that were ranked among the top 55 in the nation. Saint Mary's, currently out of the ITA top 75, was ranked as high as No. 44 earlier this spring. They also have the 59th-ranked doubles duo in the nation in Jamie Pawid and Jana McCord.

Saint Mary's, winners of three straight, downed the Broncos, 4-3, last season in Santa Clara.
