SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. – Santa Clara track & field raced at the Cal Poly Invitational on Saturday.

"The guys have been a little tired coming off finals last week, so I was really pleased with todays races. We are really exited for Stanford and SF State next week."

"We had a great day today. Our primary objectives coming off finals week was to create a lot of our own energy, race the fields instead of times, and get back into a racing mode again. This was a bit of a dress rehearsal for a big weekend of racing next week and in mid April.

JJ is now second all time in the 1500 in her first attempt at the distance. She's continued to improve and has a realistic shot to make nationals at 800 or 1500 meters."
