"We didn't take care of the ball the way we should have. (UNLV) is very athletic and is very aggressive on defense. We didn't execute the way we talked about in practice. We need to do a better of job of putting the ball in the hole as well as protecting the ball in order to get better scoring chances."
On what the Broncos need to work on heading into conference play
"We need to work extensively on our ballhandling skills. That aspect of the game has really been a struggle for us to this point. We really are going to have to get better in that area, particularly since we aren't real deep at the point guard position, headling into conference play Saturday at San Diego."
