BALTIMORE, Md. - Brandon Rohe came off the bench to hit five three-pointers and score a game-high 17 points as Santa Clara pulled away in the second half for an 81-56 victory over Loyola in a men's basketball game played at Reitz Arena Sunday afternoon.

Rohe scored 11 of his 17 points in the second half as the Broncos (6-3) used an 8-2 run in the first four minutes of the half to take a double-digit lead. Rohe hit three-pointers on consecutive possessions midway through the half to give his team a 21-point lead, 59-38, with 10:28 left, and the Broncos would lead by as many as 27 points later in the half.

Jim Howell added 11 points for Santa Clara, which earned a sweep of its Baltimore trip after defeating UMBC, 55-54, on Friday night. The Broncos shot 67 percent in the second half (16-for-24) and 54.5 percent (30-for-55) for the game and outrebounded Loyola (2-6) 37-23, including 20-12 in the first half.

Bernard Allen and Lucious Jordan each scored 15 points for Loyola, which shot just 31 percent in the second half after trailing by just seven points, 36-29, at halftime. Allen's 15 points, tying a career-high, all came in the first half, when he shot 5-for-6 from the field overall and 3-for-4 from three-point range.

The game was a seesaw one early and was tied at 21-21 with 6:28 left in the first half after a Lucious Jordan jumper for Loyola, but the Broncos then scored 11 of the next 13 points in a four-minute span and took a double-digit lead on Brad Anderson's layup with 40 seconds left in the half. An Allen three-pointer cut the Santa Clara lead to seven points at the half.

The Broncos improved to 3-0 all-time against the Greyhounds, while Loyola fell to 0-8 all-time against teams from the West Coast Conference (WCC).

The teams combined for 15 three-pointers in the game, with Santa Clara making eight of 14 (57.1 percent) for the game and five of seven three-point shots (71 percent) in the decisive second half. Loyola shot an impressive 6-for-12 from three-point range in the first half but just 1-for-8 in the final 20 minutes.
