SANTA CLARA, Calif. — Santa Clara cross country will race in a different course than originally scheduled on Saturday morning. The Broncos are set to compete at the BYU-hosted Autumn Classic at Utah State's Steve and Dona Reeder Cross Country Course in Logan, Utah. The event was moved from East Bay Golf Course in Provo, Utah, due to poor air quality caused by a pair of large mountain fires in Utah County.
The women's 5-kilometer race gets started at 8 a.m. PDT and the men's 8-kilometer race is slated for 8:30 a.m.

Santa Clara cross country raced in competition for the first time in the 2018 season on Saturday, Sept. 1 at the USF Invitational. The men's team took third place of eight teams in the 8-kilometer race and the women's team finished in ninth place of ten teams in the 6-kilometer run at Golden Gate Park's Hellman Hollow Meadow.
Litoff topped the men's team with an eighth-place finish in 25:09.7 and McCurry took 30th place with a personal-best 22:47.9 to lead the women. The men finished in the meet's top three for the second time in as many seasons, after taking second place in 2017.
