SAN MATEO, Calif. – Josip Vrankic and Jalen Williams of Santa Clara men's basketball earned All-West Coast Conference accolades.
Vrankic, the league's leading rebounder at 8.7 per game, secured a spot on the first team. The senior is averaging a team-best 15.3 points per game (10th in the WCC) and has a conference-high seven double-doubles.
Williams, who is averaging 10.8 points, 3.8 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game, earned an honorable mention nod. He ranks eighth in the WCC in both free-throw percentage (78.0) and steals (1.3 pg). The sophomore has been even more productive of late, averaging 14.6 points and 3.7 assists in the last seven contests.
A second-team All-WCC choice in 2019-20 and honorable mention pick a year earlier, Vrankic has moved up the school's all-time scoring chart this season and currently sits at No. 19 with 1,383 points. His 109 career starts rank tied for ninth on the Santa Clara all-time list.
