Men’s Soccer Plays to a Scoreless Draw Against UC Davis

SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Despite on-target efforts from Bar Hazut inside the game's final 12 minutes, a winner wasn't on the cards as Santa Clara men's soccer (3-2-2) and UC Davis (1-5-2) played to a scoreless draw on Saturday night at Stevens Stadium.

Hazut made a pair of nice runs but his effort was thwarted by Aggies goalkeeper Charles Janssen.  In both instances, Janssen came off the line and made sliding saves to stone Hazut.  Janssen finished the game with five saves.

Meanwhile, Blake Gillingham made his Bronco debut between the posts and came up with two saves to record a shutout.

UC Davis outshot the Broncos, 10-9 with Ryan Dieter leading the way with three shots for the Aggies.  Hazut and James Redington had two shots each with all of them on target.
