Men’s Tennis Finishes Ranked No. 7 in ITA NW Regional Rankings

Spring 2022 ITA Division I Men's Regional Rankings

TEMPE, Ariz. – Santa Clara men's tennis finished the 2021-22 campaign ranked No. 7 in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association regional team rankings with Guillaume Dalmasso and Arthur Neuhaus ranked top-20 in singles.

The ITA released the final rankings for the 2022 dual match season that includes the top 10 teams, top 20 singles and top 10 doubles for every region.

This past spring, Santa Clara posted a 10-12 record and 5-4 in the West Coast Conference to qualify for the league tournament.  For the second-straight season, the Broncos finished in the top-10 of the regional rankings after finishing at No. 5 last season.

Dalmasso, a second-team All-WCC singles selection was ranked No. 15 in singles.  The Aix en Provence, France native finished the with a team-best 24-11 overall singles record including 12-7 in dual matches and 4-4 in league play.  Dalmasso moved atop the singles lineup in mid-March and played there the rest of the season going 4-5.

Dalmasso had the fourth highest ranking among all WCC players in the Northwest region that includes Portland, San Francisco, Gonzaga, Saint Mary's and Santa Clara.

Neuhaus, another second-team All-WCC singles performer, was placed No. 20 in the regional rankings among singles players.  The senior from Courtetelle, Switzerland posted a 19-10 overall singles record.  In dual matches, Neuhaus went 10-7 with a team-high five league wins and went 7-2 on court two.
