SANTA CLARA, Calif. - Santa Clara men's water polo will head on the road to continue Western Water Polo Association play.
The Broncos (8-6, 0-1) will face Loyola Marymount on Thursday (3 p.m.) and UC San Diego on Friday (6 p.m.).
Santa Clara dropped its WWPA opener to Concordia, 11-10, on Saturday.
"This will be a challenging road trip, but we feel like we can play better than last weekend," head coach Keith Wilbur said.
Mac Carey (four) and Shane Hughes (three) led the offensive attack against the Eagles who rallied behind six goals, including the game-winner with less than 1 minute remaining, from Marius Jakimcikas.
UC San Diego (16-5, 4-0) and LMU (6-8, 1-1) faced off on Saturday in Los Angeles with the Tritons prevailing 14-12. UCSD has won its last nine outings.
After winning seven of their previous eight games, the Broncos have dropped two in a row.
