Yearwood, Wolph Honored by WCC for Academic Work

SAN BRUNO, Calif. – Two Santa Clara women's basketball players were honored for their work in the classroom by the West Coast Conference on Wednesday. Junior forward Lauren Yearwood was named WCC All-Academic with junior guard Emily Wolph taking home honorable mention.

Yearwood has a 3.87 GPA as a Biology major. She is No. 12 in the country with 2.6 blocks per game while adding 6.4 ppg and 6.6 rpg. Her 71 blocks have her second on the single-season list.

Wolph has a 3.65 GPA as she works towards her Masters in Educational Leadership. She is tied for the team lead with 35 3-pointers made and is scoring 6.8 ppg.

It is the first honor for both players.
