• Santa Clara faces West Coast Conference foe Saint Mary's for the second time in a week, traveling up to Moraga on Wednesday for a 4 p.m. first serve. 
• The two schools met last week (April 12) in the SCU home opener where the Broncos defeated the Gaels 3-2, coming back from a 2-0 deficit. 
• The Broncos are 1-2 in true road contests this season, 2-1 at home and 6-12 at neutral sites. 
• The Gaels are undefeated at 4-0 at home this year.    
• Julia Sangiacomo and Michelle Shaffer have the most wins as a pair at 8-1, all coming atop the lineup.
• Individually, Michelle Shaffer tops the team with an 18-6 record.
• SCU has a 18-6 record at No. 1 pairs for the best record at any spot in the lineup.      
• The Broncos are led by Associate Head Coach Jeff Alzina who is in his third season with the program.  
• Last season, the Broncos finished 5-7 including 3-5 in West Coast Conference action. 
• The squad is comprised of 14 players with eight returners and six first-year players.  
  • Returners include: Alexia Gallegos, Julia Sangiacomo, Michelle Shaffer, Jordan Bennett, Kat Georgiadis, Natalie Rentsch, Elena Radeff and Claire Doud.
  • First-year players include: freshmen Nicole Robison and Alexie Epstein; redshirt freshmen Casey Campbell, Elyse Erickson and Sophia Tulino and graduate student Alexia Inman who transferred from Cal.
