DAVIS, Calif. - Santa Clara women's tennis dropped a road match at UC Davis, 5-2, on Saturday afternoon at the Marya Welch Tennis Center.
After losing the doubles point, Katherine Petty and Jamie Schroer picked up singles wins to give the Broncos (1-2) a 2-1 lead on the team score. However, the Aggies (5-3) strung together four-straight singles wins to take the match.
The clincher came on court two when Yana Gurevich took down JennaMarie Gordon in three sets, 1-6, 7-6 (7-3), 6-3.
