West Coast Conference Release

SAN MATEO, Calif. – A trio of Santa Clara women's tennis players were named All-West Coast Conference, the league office announced on Tuesday.

Senior Jamie Schroer was named All-WCC singles honorable mention while junior Giulia Hayer and sophomore Katherine Petty were named doubles honorable mention.

The all-conference voting and major awards were voted on by the 10 conference head coaches.

Schroer posted a team-high four singles victories in conference play, going 4-3.  Three of her wins came at No. 2 and another at No. 3 in the lineup.  This is the first all-conference recognition for the two-time WCC All-Academic nominee.

Hayer and Petty paired up atop the doubles lineup in six WCC contests where they went 3-3.  The Bronco duo picked up wins against Pacific, Portland and Gonzaga.  This is the first conference honor for both players.

The Broncos finished the regular season with a 9-9 overall record including 2-5 in league play.

Pepperdine's Shiori Fukuda was named WCC Player of the Year.  A Waves player was also named Freshman of the Year in Savannah Broadus.  LMU Head Coach Agustin Moreno was named Coach of the Year.
