STOCKTON, Calif. - JennaMarie Gordon completed the Santa Clara women's tennis comeback with the match clincher in the 4-3 win over Pacific on Saturday.
With the match tied at 3-all, Gordon defeated Zoe ClydesdaleEberle in three sets, 6-2, 6-7 (5-7), 6-4, on court three to seal the West Coast Conference opening victory.
Prior to Gordon's clincher, Santa Clara (4-3, WCC 1-0) trailed 3-1 in the match but pulled even on a pair of three set wins by Velizara Fileva and Jamie Schroer.
Playing on court five, Fileva defeated Danielle Zamora 6-2, 3-6, 6-3 to trim Pacific's (4-3, 0-1) lead to 3-2.
Schroer followed with a 7-5, 2-6, 6-1 triumph over Klara Kosan on court two to knot the match at 3-all.
Schroer and Fileva also teamed up to win their doubles match.

The Broncos hosts New Mexico in a nonconference contest on Saturday, March 12 at the Degheri Tennis Center.
