SEATTLE, Wash.- The Santa Clara University men's tennis program continued its strong opening weekend in the second day of the ITA Regional Tournament, sending two players into the round of 16 and advancing their only doubles tandem entered.

Bronco senior Kyle Dandan won in straight sets (6-3;6-2) to advance to the round of 16. The ninth-seeded Dandan battles fourth-seeded Nick Andrews of Cal for a spot in the quarterfinals.

John Lamble, who played his way into the round of 32, defeated Chase Melton of Cal in two sets (6-4; 6-3) to advance to the round of 16. Lamble's next match is against second-seeded Kyle McMorrow of the host Washington.

The third Bronco, Tom Pham was unable to edge Carlos Cueto of Cal, falling in two sets (6-3; 6-1). However, Pham's weekend isn't over. Pham and Dandan advanced to the second round in doubles play with an 8-3 victory over a Washington duo. The Bronco tandem will battle a pair from Stanford in their next match.
