No. 49 Santa Clara Blasts No. 57 UNLV 7-0

LAS VEGAS, Nev. – The No. 49 Santa Clara men's tennis squad finished off a seven-match road swing with a commanding 7-0 victory at No. 57 UNLV. The Broncos finished the series of road matches with a 5-2 record, improving to 7-2 overall this spring.

The Broncos now return to the Degheri Tennis Center for the first time since Jan. 21. Santa Clara will host Arkansas on Fri., Feb. 24 and Pacific on Sun., Feb. 26.

Junior Tom Pham (pictured), who continued his perfect spring, highlighted the Bronco victory. Pham improved to 9-0 with a decisive victory. Additionally, Kyohhei Kamono stepped up for Santa Clara in place of an ill Ilya Osintsev. Kamono picked up his first victory since opening weekend to improve to 3-0 this spring. The Broncos also got wins from Kyle Dandan, John Lamble, Nicolas Vinel and Eugene Muchynski.

Santa Clara finished its Las Vegas weekend undefeated picking up wins against Utah and UNLV.

"I am really proud of our full team effort this weekend," said Santa Clara head coach Derek Mills.

During its road swing, Santa Clara picked up three ranked opponents including Boise State, TCU and UNLV.
