ORANGE, Calif. - Wrapping-up it's three-game weekend and Western Water Polo Association regular season play, No. 14 Santa Clara men's water polo (17-15; 4-5 WWPA) topped Chapman by a score of 11-9.
James Case had a big game on offense by scoring four goals, one in each quarter. Matt Kochalko added two goals of his own while Daley Meistrell, Marcus Akerland, David Guibord, Theo Nasser and Kyle Surber had one each.
Chapman was able to take the lead 5-3 with 4:50 left in the second quarter. The game was tied at the half but the Broncos were able to outscore Chapman 3-1 in the third quarter to take the lead for good.
The Broncos return to the pool to end regular season play when they travel to Stanford in Palo Alto, Calif. The game will be played at 12:30 p.m.
