Dick Davey, on game: "Kentucky played very well defensively and forced us to shoot only 36 percent. It is tough to win when you shoot the ball like that. We had some good moments throughout the game but we could not sustain it."
Davey, on Kentucky's offense: "Their penetration offensively really tested us and we had some trouble with Randolph Morris. I was very impressed with him. It was a good game for us to see where we are and what we need to do to get better."
Davey, on game: "We played pretty well for about 33 minutes, but we did not finish the game. We were right there with seven minutes to go and we needed to play better down the stretch."
Davey, looking ahead to Utah State: "They are a good team and if we hang our heads they are going to beat us. We have to get ourselves back up and be ready for a tough game at home."
Danny Pariseau, on transition game: "At halftime, the coaches told us that we needed to keep pushing it so we could get some easy shots. Kentucky is physical and good defensively so any time you can get some easy baskets, you have to take advantage of that."
Pariseau, on staying in game: "We felt that we could win the game until the end. We got a lot of open looks, but we missed too many shots. If you want to win a game like this, you have to knock down shots."
Sean Denison, on team's defense: "Our defense did well overall. Our guards came up with a bunch of steals and they were stopping their guards from driving. Their offensive rebounding is kind of what killed us in the end."
Denison, on playing at Kentucky: "We came out looking to play hard and try and win the game. It was a fun experience playing here. There was a good atmosphere in the building. It would have been better if we had been able to get a win here."
Mitch Henke, on team's start: "We came out strong like we have done a lot right this year. That showed us that we could play with them so we felt comfortable right away."
Henke, on the game: "We played a pretty good game overall, but we had some defensive breakdowns that hurt us. Also, we did not capitalize on a lot of chances offensively. If we had made some of those open shots, it would have been a different game."
Henke, on playing at Rupp Arena: "We get a chance to get to a few arenas like this every year and it is always a great experience. It was good for us to play in an atmosphere like this with all the fans cheering against us. This experience should help us down the road."
