SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. - The Santa Clara men's golf team played its first 36 holes Monday at the Cowboy Classic, hosted by the University of Wyoming at Talking Stick Golf Club. Jong Yoon led the Broncos on the first day of competition, and is currently tied for 40th after rounds of 76 and 68.

It was somewhat familiar territory for junior Blair Myers, who hails from Scottsdale. Myers is currently tied for 61st after a great opening round 70, and a second round 77.

Behind Yoon and Myers were Eric Lillibridge, Tim Lynch and Kellen Moss finishing with combined scores of 148, 150 and 152, respectively.

The Broncos will wrap up play at the Cowboy Classic Tuesday in their final tune-up before the WCC Championships which begin next Monday, April 16 in Lompoc, Calif.
