Alister MacKenzie Invitational Quote Sheet - 10/9/06

Oct. 9, 2006

Recap

Head coach Rob Miller, on team's performance: "It was an interesting day. We put up respectable first rounds and we were on track to have some fantastic second rounds, and then we had a few snowmen (8) which took away what could've been 64s or 65s."

Miller, on the competition: "Cal has really shown the benefit of home field advantage, especially on a course where the greens are difficult and putting is so important."

Blair Myers, on performance: "I basically just capitalized on the par 5s, made a few good puts and played smart. The greens were really difficult, but it was fun."

Myers, on course: "It was very nice, not too long. It reminds me of Pasatiempo near Santa Cruz, which is a another course designed by Alister MacKenzie."

Jong Yoon, on performance: "It was kind of an up and down day. I started a little slow, but I had an eagle and two birdies back to back, so I hung in there."

Yoon, on his shot on 17: "I just had a great shot on the 17th. I hit a strong 9 iron and it almost went in - It stopped only an inch or so away."

Yoon, looking toward tomorrow: "There are a lot of birdies out there and I think our entire team kind of left them out there today. I think that if we can capitalize on our opportunities, tomorrow will be a good day."
