The Bronco volleyball team finished a successful West Coast Conference trip to the Northwest this weekend with a 3-0 victory over host Gonzaga on Saturday.  Santa Clara moves to 14-5 and 4-1 in the WCC.  Gonzaga is now 9-9 and 1-4 in the WCC.  Set scores were 25-10, 25-13 and 25-17.o

Santa Clara travels to LMU for a 7 pm match on Thurs., Oct. 11 and then to Pepperdine for a 1 pm match on Sat., Oct. 11.

"We played our most complete match today.  Taylor Milton started and ended on fire with a lot of success between. Honestly, everyone was clicking offensively, Taylor, Kayla, Megan, Haley, Lexi - everyone," said Bronco head coach Jon Wallace.  "I am really proud of our efforts on the road all weekend long because all of this travel is not easy. We have to do it again next weekend and playing at LMU and Pepperdine will not be an easy task, but I believe this team is getting everyday in practice and we just have to get back after it on Monday to get ready for the LA trip."

Santa Clara hit .579 with 50 kills and just six errors in 76 attempts.  They collected 47 assists, nine service aces, nine service errors, 28 digs and four team blocks.  Gonzaga hit .147 with 23 kills, collecting 13 errors in 68 attempts.  The Zags also had 23 assists, one ace, two errors and four team blocks.

Taylor Milton had a monster day, hitting .786 with 11 kills in 14 attempts with no errors. She also had three aces and six digs.  Megan Anders hit .692 with nine kills and zero errors in 13 attempts.  Haley Cameron hit .625 with five kills and three block assists.  Kayla Lommori had a career night, crushing 14 kills in 16 attempts, hitting .875 with one dig and one block assists.  Chelsea Heier had 19 assists and three digs.  Alyssa Anderson had 18 assists and two digs.  

The Zags were led by Savannah Blinn who scored nine kills in 24 attempts with six errors.
