It is that time of year again to come out and walk for pancreatic cancer so come out and join the Bronco volleyball team and a number of other Bronco student-athletes, coaches and staff. The Fifth Annual Walk 4 Pancreatic Cancer will take place on the Santa Clara University campus on Sat., May 11 at 8:30 am.  It's a 5K walk that will start and end at the campus library, across from Benson.

Even if you can't join us please send this email out to your email list.  Even better idea - bring a few friend and walk that morning around the gorgeous Santa Clara campus!

"My team and I are looking forward to this event - it's our fifth annual walk on the Mission campus for this cause. The walk raises a lot of money that is really for Dr. Tempero's research team at UCSF. They are one of the leading researchers in this fight," said Bronco volleyball coach Jon Wallace.  "Our Bronco volleyball team, along with our men's and women's basketball, women's golf, women's soccer and other staff and coaches from our department, come together for this walk and it's a really great event."

The Walk 4 Pancreatic Cancer has raised more than $90,000 at Santa Clara in the past four years for research to treat pancreas cancer at the University of California, San Francisco, one of the world's preemminent medical research universities.

Please go on to and see our new site by clicking here. We have hopefully made it easier to register families, teams and individuals with our new registration procedure.  Every penny raised will go to UCSF Pancreas Center.

Rainbow Ice Cream is coming this year along with a Kid's Corner so they can make their Mother's Day cards for Mom. We will have a station to make a Mother's Day card (next day!) for the mom's!

Of course the usual strawberries, bagels and water reception will also be there!

A few other surprises are in the works.

"If everyone brings along someone new to the walk that would a great goal  in raising funds to fight pancreatic cancer," said Wallace.  "We appreciate your morning commitment and we all look forward to another wonderful walk."
