Kelsey Turnbow Nabs WCC Offensive Player of the Week Honors

SAN MATEO, Calif. – Santa Clara women's soccer forward Kelsey Turnbow was named the University Credit Union West Coast Conference Offensive Player of the Week on Tuesday.

The senior continued her impressive season, scoring three goals across a pair of Bronco wins to give her six on the year. She has scored at least once in every game this season and is fourth in the country with 1.2 goals per game.

She started things off Tuesday at then-No. 24 Pepperdine where she scored twice. The first evened the score at 3-all in the 80th minute and the second was the game-winner in the 105th.

Turnbow kept things going on Saturday, finding the back of the net yet again as Santa Clara rolled past Pacific 4-0.

This is the second WCC Offensive Player of the Week nod for the Broncos. Julie Doyle earned the honor March 16 after scoring the game-winner at then-No. 13 BYU.

The ninth-ranked Broncos (5-0, 5-0 WCC) return to action tomorrow with a nonconference game against No. 17 BYU (8-3, 5-1 WCC). Kickoff from Stevens Stadium is scheduled for 7 p.m.
