The Santa Clara Bronco softball team is gearing up for the 2015-2016 academic year and season, arriving back on campus Monday, Sept. 21. The team continued its rise in 2015 – having the best season under head coach Liza Mize, totalling its most wins since 2006.
STADIUM TOUR & ALUMNI GAME – SATURDAY, OCT. 10 - RSVP ONLINE
The 2015-2016 season marks the completion of the University's beautiful new SCU Softball Stadium. The University would like to share our excitement of this facility with you - our Bronco supporters, family and friends.
On Saturday, Oct. 10 the team will be hosting an SCU Softball Stadium Tour prior to its annual Alumni Game. The tour is set to begin at 9:30 a.m. Parking will be available in the Leavey Center parking lot. A continental breakfast (coffee, juice and pastries) will be provided. The team will also have SCU softball t-shirts available for sale at $20. The annual Alumni Game will begin at 11 a.m.
RECAPPING ATHLETIC & ACADEMIC HONORS OF 2015
Casandra Padilla (All-WCC First Team) and Ellie Fisher (All-WCC Second Team) were honored among the best players in the West Coast Conference. Breezy Bernard, Jordan Newell and Geenamarie Bonilla were each named All-WCC honorable mention players respectively.
Eleven members of our Bronco softball team made the WCC Commissioners Honor Roll. Those student-athletes were: Ashley Haney, Breezy Bernard, Jenna Krummen, Jordan Newell, Ciara Gonzales, Chiara Biagini, Geenamarie Bonilla, Taylor Bojorquez, Amanda Delfino, Kelli Tatum and McCall James.
