SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Santa Clara softball had two players named to the West Coast Conference All-Academic on Thursday. Junior Amanda Delfino and sophomore McCall James were the two Broncos honored.
Delfino maintains a 3.32 GPA as a communications major. She leads the team in OBP with a .378 mark thanks to 13 walks. She has scored 16 runs and knocked in 11 with three doubles, two triples, and a home run. Her biggest moment of the season was when she hit a game-winning home run off the top of the wall in the fifth inning vs. San Diego on May 1. Last year Delfino was named WCC All-Academic honorable mention.
James has a 3.45 GPA as an economics major. She has tossed a team-leading 145 1/3 innings with 11 complete games. It is the first honor for James.
