SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Getting set for the home-opener, Santa Clara softball hosts the Bronco Classic beginning Friday. On Friday the Broncos will face CSU Fullerton at 3:15 p.m. and Idaho State at 5:30 p.m. On Saturday they will play Seattle at 2:30 p.m. and Idaho State at 4:45 p.m. The Tournament wraps-up Sunday vs. CSU Fullerton at 1:30 p.m.

Santa Clara (1-3) is led by its pitching staff. The Broncos have a 2.67 ERA in 27.0 innings.

Ellie Fisher is hitting .286 with a double, a run scored, an RBI, and one stolen base. Casandra Padilla is hitting .250 with a run scored and an RBI as well.

Micaela Vierra is 1-2 with a 2.04 ERA. She has thrown a team-high 17.2 innings in three appearances, including two starts. She has tossed two complete games and her first career shutout.

Idaho State (0-5) is hitting .331 as a team with one home run, one triple and eight doubles. The Bengals have scored 26 runs.

They have a team ERA of 12.30 with 15 strikeouts and 22 walks in 30.0 innings.

Dara Kolar leads the team with a .600 batting average, three doubles, a home run, and eight RBI. Kacie Burnett is hitting .444 with five runs scored and a triple to go with three RBI.

Sophie Slagle has appeared in three games and made one start while tossing a complete game. In 13.1 innings, she has struck out nine and walked eight. Ashlyn Ames has thrown 10.1 innings in two starts and stuck out three with seven walks.

Seattle (1-4) is hitting .271 as a team with four home runs, one triple, and five doubles. The Redhawks have scored 16 runs.

They have a team ERA of 4.80 with 25 strikeouts and 17 walks in 30.0 innings.

Paige Bouska is leading the team with a .500 average and has scored three runs with a triple. Maddy Kristjanson is also batting .500 with a home run and a RBI. Megan Ottino is tied for the team lead with three RBI and three runs scored.

Andie Larkins is 1-1 with a 4.91 ERA in a team-high 14.2 innings. She has started three games and thrown two complete games with a shutout. Larkins has fanned 13 and walked 13. Alyssa Reuble has appeared in three games and made one start while posting a 5.56 ERA in 11.1 innings. She has struck out nine and walked two.

CSU Fullerton (4-1) is hitting .333 as a team with two home runs and 10 doubles. The Titans have scored 39 runs.

They have a team ERA of 4.34 ERA with 24 strikeouts and 10 walks in 29.0 innings.

Missy Taykeiaho is hitting .462 with a home run, four doubles, five RBO, and five runs scored. Courtney Rodriguez is batting .375 with five runs scored and a team-high six RBI. She has added three doubles.

Sydney Golden leads the team with a 2.15 ERA in 13.0 innings. She has made three starts and has one shutout to go with 11 strikeouts and two walks.
