Men's Golf Tied for Seventh After Opening Round of Paintbrush Invitational

PARKER, Colo. - Santa Clara men's golf is tied for seventh place after 18 holes of play at the Paintbrush Invitational.

Darkness shortened play on Monday with only four of the 10 teams in the field finishing the first two rounds in the two-day event that is being competed at Colorado Golf Club.

Santa Clara was tied with Long Beach State at 14-over-par 302 after the opening round. University of Denver, the host school, led the way at 2-over 290.

The Broncos a shot a second-round 24-over 312, but they will not know where they stand until 36 holes is completed by all the teams Tuesday morning.

Nolan Forsman's opening-round 1-over 73 led the way for the Broncos. He was in a tie for 12th place.

Oscar Zimmerman was tied for 28th at at 3-over and Konrad Brauckmeyer tied for 36th at 4-over 76.

Alex Conley shot a 78 (t-53rd) and Berk Harvey a 79 (t-60th).
