EL MACERO, Calif. - Senior golfers Zack Kaneshiro and Berk Harvey had saw no let down on day two at the El Macero Classic as they continued their hot start by finishing the round in third and tied for fourth, respectively. The Broncos moved up to a tie for third at 4-under 288-284--572.
Kaneshiro turned in his second-straight run in the 60s with a 69 at 3-under. The Honolulu product tallied four birdies and an eagle on the par-5 No. 5.
Harvey also eagled the fifth hole and had three birdies as part of a 1-under 71 and is tied for fourth at 5-under 68-71--139.
The Broncos are currently just four strokes behind the leaders, Long Beach State (8-under 568). Fresno State is in second at 7-under 569 and LMU is tied with Santa Clara for third.
Alejandro Gutierrez is tied for 28th at 2-over 75-71--146. Nolan Forsman (5-over 76-73--149) is tied for 50th and Jack Avrit is (9-over 77-76--153) is tied for 67th.
