EUGENE, Ore. - Santa Clara men's golf wrapped up day one on the links at the Oregon Duck Invitational, finishing the 36-hole day in 14th at 308-292--600.
Cameron Kaiser had the best individual finish of the day for the Broncos, using a career-low 1-under 70 second round to jump up 29 spots in the standings and tie for 32nd at 5-over 77-70--147. Kaiser tallied three birdies and eagled the par-5 No. 16 as part of his second round.
Berk Harvey carded a 1-over 72 second round to climb 15 spots. He is currently tied for 56th at 8-over 78-72--150. Jack Avrit (74-77--151) is tied for 60th, Zack Kaneshiro (79-73--152) is tied for 70th and Alejandro Gutierrez is 80th at 80-77--157.
No. 8 Washington holds the day one lead at 16-under 280-272--552. The Huskies' Chuan-Tai Lin has the individual lead of 8-under 67-67--134.
