Kaneshiro Has Career Day On The Links In Tennessee

FRANKLIN, Tenn. - Senior Zack Kaneshiro had a day on the links to remember on Saturday at the Mason Rudolph Championship, carding a career-low 7-under 64 to make a huge 41-spot leap on the leaderboard to climb into a tie for sixth at 6-under 72-64--136.

Kaneshiro's record day was not just the lowest of his career, it was the lowest for any Bronco this season and was also the lowest score of the day among the field of 87 on the par-71 Vanderbilt Legends Club - South Course.

The Honolulu product tallied six sub-par holes during the round with four birdies and a pair of eagles on par-fives. He enters the final round just six strokes behind the leader, Vanderbilt's Cole Sherwood (12-under 63-67--130).

Berk Harvey also turned in another solid round with an even-par 71. He is currently tied for 15th at 3-under 68-71--139.

The Broncos (574) remain in the 11th after two rounds at play after tallying a 1-over 285 on the day. No. 3 Vanderbilt (32-under 536) all but locked up the team title by extending their lead to 12 strokes over second place-Liberty (548).

Oscar Zimmerman (73-77--150) is tied for 75th, Nolan Forsman (79-73--152) is tied for 80th and Cameron Kaiser (76-78--154) is tied for 84th.

NOTES

  • Kaneshiro's 64 is the lowest by a current player on the roster since Jack Avrit carded a 64 at the 2021 Saint Mary's Invitational.
