SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Santa Clara men's soccer welcomed Dylan Bartlett, a forward from Palos Verdes High School in Palos Verdes Estates, California to join the program this fall.
"I chose Santa Clara because I saw the desire to win in the team. Also the campus is beautiful. Right after my visit I knew it was the perfect place and program for me," said Bartlett.
The 2020 USA Today Los Angeles Boys Soccer Player of the Year nominee garnered first-team Bay League and second-team all-SCA honors his senior season while leading the Sea Kings to an upset win over San Clemente, the top-ranked team in the CIF Southern Section Division I poll snapping their 37-game unbeaten streak.
The 6-foot-1 forward played club soccer for Beach FC helping them lead to the 2019 Elite Clubs National League National Championship while tallying 16 goals and seven assists.
"Dylan is a natural forward. When he was with Beach FC I got to see him play against De Anza Force and he was just really good," said Broncos head coach Cam Rast. "We saw his ability to play up front and I think he has a lot of promise that can give us minutes in that position. Dylan's got good size and moves pretty well. As he matures, he'll be more impactful."
