Sutikto Notches Another Top-15 Finish For Women's Golf

FRESNO, Calif. - Santa Clara women's golf freshman Borina Sutikto notched yet another top-15 finish, her fifth of the season, carding a 5-over 74-71-76--221 to tie for 14th at the Fresno State Classic on Tuesday. 

Sutikto now has top-15 finishes in five of first seven collegiate events, including a season-best tie for third in her collegiate debut. 

As a team, Santa Clara wrapped up the two-day tournament by finishing with a final round 304 to take 10th place at 34-over 295-299-304--898. Hawai'i ran away from the field to capture the team title at 1-over 865. Fresno State's Jessica Hall held on to her day one individual lead to take medalist honors at 6-under 70-70-70--210. 

Lauren Shew had a strong finish in the final round, using a 1-under 71 on Tuesday to climb 13 spots in the final standings where she finished t-36th at 9-over 75-79-71--225. Inara Sharma (74-74-78--226) and Claire Choi (72-76-79--227), tied for 39th and 43rd, respectively. Individual Oliva Venderby tied for 67th at 81-76-79--236 and Marie Jordaan tied for 74th at 81-78-79--238.
