SANTA CLARA, Calif. - A pair of Broncos found themselves honored by the West Coast Conference office on Monday. Senior Claire Choi and freshman Borina Sutikto both earned a spot on the 2021-22 All-WCC Women's Golf Team, as announced by the conference.
The all-conference nod is the first for both athletes.
"Claire and Borina both played really well this season," head coach Krystal Kelly said. "I’m so proud of what they accomplished on and off the golf course. Going into conference their scoring averages were 73.63 and 73.67. Claire had 12 rounds of par or better and Borina had nine rounds of par or better."
Choi had an outstanding senior campaign with the first two individual victories of her career, both coming in back-to-back tournaments. She also posted five top 10 finishes and her seven sub-par rounds were the best on the team. The Honolulu product tied for 13th at the WCC Championship.
Sutikto, a freshman from Fremont, posted eight top-15 finishes with a season-best third-place finish in both the the Couer d'Alene Resort Invitational and Bobcat Desert Classic.
